How to start meditating (for beginners): 1. Mediation doesn’t need to be tied to a specific time of the day BUT it will help you make it a habit. If you decide you will mediate at some point during the day, the time flies by […]
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 The Crown chakra is our connection to the universe and lets us trust in a higher guidance. When it is open, we are open minded, spiritually connected and wise. When it is imbalanced, it can lead to spiritual/religious addictions, confusion, detachment from spirit, spiritual […]
The third eye chakra is located in-between our eyebrows, radiating down to our mouth and up into our head. When it is open, it is able to see beyond the things that we can experience with our 5 senses. It helps us to see the big picture, to see the true intentions of others and leads us to non judgmental behaviour. Our intuition and imagination increases with the developing of this chakra.
When our third eye is unbalanced we tend to: be unimaginative, have trouble concentrating, fantasies excessively, be in denial, behave obsessively or delusional.
To develop this chakra, meditation is key. Especially gazing mediations. Also try to use mindfulness to focus on sensations which you usually wouldn’t pay much attention to. Do you feel someones presence behind your back before they make them selves noticed? Try to notice things beyond your 5 senses and then write down your experiences. Use journaling to your advantage and see how your “sixth sense” evolves over time.
Important for the third eye chakra, is solitude and really focusing on yourself. If this sounds difficult for you, I would like to suggest spending time with animals (if you don’t own a pet yourself, you can ask a family member or friend to borrow their pet for some time – if you are able to take care of them well, that is). But this exercise, of connecting with animals, and really observing them will show you what intuition means. They are more fine tuned to their senses than we are. When you then feel ready, you should try gazing meditation (even if it is only for 5 minutes a day).
For this chakra, remember: “Its not what you look at that matters, its what you see”
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 Blue like the ocean, blue like the sky, blue like the throat chakra 💙 Its Sanskrit name “Vishuddha” means “very pure” and it is located in your throat, radiating from down to the centre of your heart and up to the centre of your […]

We have now moved into the area above our belly button, just below our sternum. Here we enter the radiant yellow light of the solar plexus chakra. This is the seat of our vitality, inner strength, self control and self-confidence. If you are a go getter, you follow your purpose, are very decisive and get things done, your solar plexus is probably well balanced. On a physical level, this chakra is linked to your pancreas, metabolism and gut (also your gut instinct!!).
If you have an aggressive, controlling nature towards others (chakra is too open) or are suffering from low self-confidence, maybe also being very submissive (chakra is too closed/blocked) your sacral chakra is probably out of balance.
If it is blocked it will be helpful to strengthen your core (the stomach and back) on a physical level, as this will give you a boost in confidence. Your posture will change and with that your attitude towards yourself and others. The way to balance this chakra is to focus on the things you are good at. Including your gifts more into you life will increase the health of this energy point.
Bare in mind that all chakra imbalances always have to be worked on from the roots upwards. If you therefore found and imbalance in a lower chakra, you need to attend to it first and build a solid foundation.
Use the given affirmations to increase the health of your solar plexus energy point, dance, practice yoga, do what you love and meditate, while focusing on the colour yellow and the energy of the sun.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 Yesterday was all about self-preservation, today is about self-gratification and stepping into your emotions. This chakra is all about sensual pleasures and creativity. If it is balanced, you will be able to indulge in the pleasurable things life has to offer, without overdoing it. […]
Welcome to the first day of the Chakras ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍 If your question is “the What?!”: In very basic terms – In ancient Hindu scriptures, it is written, that we have a life force energy (Sanskrit = Prana) running through us. Prana is supported by energy […]
Movement is super important for a vital, healthy, balanced and happy lifestyle. Some days I need to expel my accumulated energy with body combat, other days I want to go deeper than “just” exercising my physical body.
Surya Namaskar allows me to connect with myself, nature and my surroundings. Sun salutations are part of my daily routine, no mater what my energy levels are like, as it is the perfect way for me to start my day: It wakes me up, I start to feel more balanced and from a more spiritual aspect, I think its a beautiful practice, to salute something that surrounds us with light, keeps us warm and is one of the reasons we are alive.
This video will show you a beginners and an intermediate variation of Surya Namaskar. Give it a try and repeat it at least three times in the morning (which is only going to take 10 min). You will immediately feel more energised and proud of yourself to have begun your day with gratitude and having pampered your body, mind and soul ❤️
